Default Shifter Question

Goes along with my seat question.

Are there any after market shifter levers for RK. the OEM one leaves no room for my left foot . I was use to more room on my Intruder and feel crowded on the RK. What I'm really looking for are levers that are longer then the stock ones.Any ideas.
Thanks

Remove the heel shifter and move the boards out by 3/4" to 1", worlds of room then. It will be easier to scrape the boards though.

Like the others said. If you have a large foot or just want a lot more room. Kuryakyn makes the floorboard extenison to move the floorboad away from the frame/motor and a chrome cover that replaces where the heel shifter connects. Third, you can get a forward shifter that is longer than the oem this shold take care of the room you need and it looks cool to. They also make a brake lever that is longer than the oem givingyou more room.

They're using the same part for both levers. What needs to be done is to make them 1/2" longer and move the boards 1/2" forward. Doubt they'll do that.

There are several outfits making shift levers incrementally longer (google would be your friend there) but the few I've seen were 70 to 80 bucks a piece. Maybe if I was still working more regularly it would be more important to me to address the "problem".

There is a member here SooS that makes the floorboard extenders too. Many people have given him a good review.
