Default Throttle Lock Lever

I'm a notoriously frugal person (cheap bastard). Having said that, I don't scrimp on my bike, but rather I look for deals and value.

I don't really need cruise control on my Street Glide right now since most of my rides are rarely over 350 miles per day. I'm interested in getting some sort of lock for my throttle, just to have the ability to rest my right hand and get some blood flowing when it starts to tingle.

So who's using one?....and is there a recommendedmanufacturer that makes agood throttle locking lever (or other throttle lock)? I'd like to get one that is widely regarded as the best in quality and function.

Thanks for the input.

Here is the one I bought. Well made and took maybe ten seconds to install.

That's the one I have. Not sure if it's that exact manufacuruer but it functions just like that. Works perfectly. Small hands will have to adjust position in order to fully engage it.

I have this one as well on my Fatboy. Works good when you have gloves on b/c the lever sticks out far enough to catch without having to look for it. Easy install. I recommend.

I have a Throttlemate. Works well, can be used with heavy gloves, and is easy to install and use.

Thanks. At $8, shipped, that certainly fits the bill. I like it because it just snaps on to the thumbscrew.

Well, as a self-proclaimed cheap bastard, that is as cheap as it gets and that's what I've been doing, but I would prefer the one-hand solution.

That's the one I was thinking of when I posted this thread. I like the fact that it's metal but I didn't like the setscrew. No big deal, but you would think they could offer one with the threaded stud integrated into the lever that just replaces the stock thumbscrew. To me, that would be a much cleaner design. Even I would pay a few bucks more for that.

Thanks fellas.

I got a throttlerocker.com for $10. Don't leave home with out it. It also gets you out of the habit of gripping the throttle so hard that your hand goes numb.
My set screw thing never did work. There is a part missing up inside the housing. It must have fallen out when the last guy changed the grips. Some day I'll find the part number and get me a new one.
