Default Crankshaft Bearing Issue??

2010 Ultra Classic lost oil pressure. Tore it down and curious if the bearing has moved inward. Appreciate your thoughts on the attached picture. Thanks!

Here is a picture of a 2002 Electra Glide. I would say your bearing has moved a bit.

Thanks for the reply. I had someone email me this morning and said the bearing should be flush with the edge. Believes that caused the oil pump pressure to fail. Not sure what I will do next with this as I do not know what other damage it caused.

. I thought on stock Harleys', there was a retainer ring on both sides of those roller bearing. Has someone been in there before ?

Rarely for you see a garage mechanic going past were you are. Big replace parts or the rebuilders on here probably are best.

Not that I am aware of but then I am not knowledgeable in this area. Guess next action would be to split the case.

It's show on the fish at Ronnie.com. That ring is one of the parts sold. After that on the fish is the whole case and crank short block.

If you slide bearing back, you should be able to see groove in case.

Thanks for all the info! Not sure what caused this to happen. I've had people tell me to look at a few sites where they rebuild the crankshafts and fix know flaws. I just have to figure out if the case itself was damaged. No harm to the cam bearings but would replace those just to be safe. Also looking at the upgraded cam plate and high volume oil pumps. If this can be fixed then I don't want to do it half way. Just put new chain tensioners in about 3K miles ago. Engine had about 30K when this happened.

Not good, since the radial bearing is just pressed in place, and no retaining rings holding it in place, and its walking now.

I found out Darkhorse Crankworks is only 1 1/2 hour from my location. Will try to schedule an appointment with them tomorrow to inspect the crank and case. They also do Timken bearing case upgrades. Unbelievable that you have to throw money at something that should have lasted 3 or 4 times longer.
