Default Street glide neutral issue

Anyone have this issue before and is there an easy fix?

The bike does go into neutral. It shifts fine when riding. The problem is getting it into neutral with my foot. I either skip passed it to 2nd or skip passed to 1st. If i reach down with my hand i can slowly get it in neutral. It feels like theres no “neutral sweet spot”. It kust wont go when im using my foot. Ive been riding most of my life and never had this issue. I noticed it at a red light and wanted to rest my hand. It would just skip right by neutral. No matter how slow i try with my foot, doesnt help.

Not the easiest bikes to find neutral.

I would check your primary for proper servicing.

I'm curious how you're reaching down and using your hand to get it into neutral. Are you using your extremely long right arm, or slipping your right hand onto the clutch lever while removing your left hand and then reaching down with that? LOL!
Sounds like the standard gripe about Harley's to me. Could be a clutch adjustment issue, some find using different primary fluid works. Most of us learn how to finesse it into neutral from 2nd as we're rolling to a stop.

Lol. I can actually use my right arm on the heel shifter. Havent done it while riding. That was in the garage Lol. I never had a problem going into neutral before, on any bike. Feels like theres a very small zone where neutral is. Theres no finessing on this neutral. Not a big issue right now but if i take off on a long ride, itll be an issue real quick. Would the clutch make there be a small neutral zone? Or maybe its making it harder to shift and when it does shift it goes right by it?

It does go into neutral smoother when rolling to a stop. As brakeless stated above me. Just a light tap down from second. I never have an issue.

So is this a new to you bike? Has this always done it? What other bikes did you have that didn't have this problem. Is the clutch stock? Inquiring minds need to know. Every Harley goes into neutral when it's not not running in the garage. Can you tell if the clutch is dragging? Put it in 1st gear and start it (with the clutch in), if it moves it's dragging.

I think you are doing same thing I was doing when I first bought my bike. It was very hard for me to find N. Here is a little trick to make sure you never miss putting your bike in N. Instead of "tapping" the gear pedal like you would with any other gear, for N, just press it gradually. So, from 1st, put your foot under the gear shifter and press GRADUALLY. It will pop in N lot easier like that. I hope that makes sense.

I been riding motorcycles and dirt bikes for 30 years. This is my 5th harley and never had this problem before. My cousins street glide hits neutral with no problems. Im guessing something needs adjusted somewhere. Me shifting it isnt the problem. If theres a problem with my vehicles or some heavy equipment at work, ill go at it. When it comes to my bike, Ive always taken them to a shop. If its something simple, ill do it myself but never mess with the motor. Maybe ill change the primary oil. Any suggestions on brand?

Im trying to figure out what would cause this problem, its not me.

I use redline for primary and transmission. when you change the primary fluid adjust the clutch and primary chain to make sure all is correct. They are easy to adjust.
