I have a XM Sportscaster it has a built in FM Modulator... And that is about all I normally use on my RG and never had a problem (yet) with volume...
When I use the AUX port for my MP3 player I had to turn the volume up to full on the MP3 player and seem to need to increase the radio's volume a bit more also...

Now dont hit me, because I did this when I set mine up. Did you go into the menu and turn off the FM signal since it is on aux outlet???

I have the same issue with my roady 2 using the FM, not aux input. Not near as load as the regualr radio/mp3/cd Output turned all the way up ect. I can use it fine around town but pretty much forget it on the highway

I have the same problem with my Sirius receiver. Funny thing , I can't hear the radio at all at highway speeds unless I have very good earplugs in. (and FF or 3/4 helmet). Can hear it OK then but the vol is all the way up and no way to increase it when a good song comes on.

Nedster,

Another dumb question......how does one go to the menu and turn off the FM signal?

The menu on the HD radio or the XM radio?

Please enlighten me.......[sm=chairshot.gif]

I have the Roady XT on my 2006 EGlide Classic and it appears to be loud enough. I have adjusted the Audio output on the XM unit to its maximum and also installed Hogtunes speakers. I also use the Aux port.
I have no problem hearing the radio with the radio volume turned up.

I had the same problem. A Boostarroo Audio Amp from cyclegadets.com ( Part #BC10 ) $29.95 is supposed to cure the volume issue. I will be ordering one

I picked up a boostaroo from best buy, it was in the portable cd player section and no where near the mp3 players anyway it seems to solve the problem described here.

OHBOY I get to buy more crap for my bike in order for it to perform the way it should have when I bought it. I now know what they mean when thay say "if you have to ask you wouldn't understand". Should be "If you asked you won't believe"
