Default 10,000 trans oil change

I just changed my oil in my 07 ultra and found some metal flakes in oil. I have never had any trans noises should I be concerned about flakes one was 1/32 by 1\8

What tranny oil you using? Did you go 10k miles without change like HD states? I personally do mine every 5k with Amsoil synthetic 75/90 and have good results.

Amsoil 75/90, Belray 85/140, Redline Shockproof Heavy..There are dealers that recommend all of these..everyone has a preference..all good products. Don't know how much confidence you have in the dealer you work with but I would be very interested in their comments regarding a metal flake (chunk??) that was 1/8 x 1/32.

That is why there is a magnet on the drain plug, it is meant to catch any small particles that come off.

I change mine every 10000 miles with Mobil 1 75-90 gear lube.
