Closer Look at the 2021 Street Glide Special

Harley gives the fan-favorite Street Glide a few welcome updates for 2021.

 

Interestingly, the color here on this SGS, is the Deadwood Green Denim. This color is not available as an option in the US, but may have been an undisclosed limited release. Only a few dealers received them, and they cannot be ordered.

Just an FYI -

AA and/or Carplay is NOT new for 2021 models. Both AA & Carplay have been available to all GTS radios that are running the most current version of software, MY21.20.28.00 released July 30, 2020.

The "AA applications" are not built in to the GTS Infotainment system. The software applications reside on the android device. AA is basically an interface that allows the android device to project its' software display onto the GTS' display (hence the GTS setting to allow projection mode to be turned on).

 

I've just had a look and it appears that Deadwood Green Denim is available in the UK

 

Common Harley practice for color selection to vary between different markets.

 

Nothing new for the 2021 Street Glide Special except the new engine guard and colors. What a joke of an write up.

 

The engine guard looks the same to me..

 

Return to cable clutch and a new ECM are other changes.

 

Wow nice paint stolen from Ural. This just reinforces the my choice of my new 2021.

 

and don't forget the new tank emblem. Which I personally don't care for, compared to the 19 and 20;s emblem, along with the clutch cable and colour's.
