Default Custom Tank Emblems

There were no tank emblems on my bike when I got it and it looked too bare so after looking at countless emblems I went with some old school ones, powder-coated Black with the letters hand-painted to match the raw aluminum wheels. Anyone else with something custom?

I had those on my 12 streetglide. The only problem was they are made for 5 gallon tanks and really don't follow the contour of the 6 gallon tanks. They workied OK, but i sure wish they made them for the 6's.

I think those look good. I've been looking at a few different options for switching out the ones on my 18 RK but nothing has really caught my eye yet.

I looked at many tank emblems online via Google images and these seemed to go well with my bike, to me at least! As a heads-up to those that want to get them they are originally on a '61-62 Panhead and you must buy the backing plates as well as the emblems. I have an extra set of backing plates if anyone wants them for a few bucks.

Best picture I have of the tank Badge (mud is from North Dakota). When I painted my bike silver, I got a set of badges for a Switchback, which is a modern interpretation of the badges on my Shovel form 1970. Works for me.

Did you remove a badge first or was there no badge there to begin with?
