No kidding, that does sound counter intuitive lol so thanks for that about the roller rockers, good idea on establishing a baseline on crank run-out.

Sounds like you’ll be increasing your compression, you probably wanna go with a high lift cam.

527 will work well at about 10:1 -10.2:1 comp. with true duals I’d suggest an Andrews 48 and slightly lower gearing with any cam you decide on.

Thanks for the reply. I'll be ditching the true duals for a 2-1-2 head pipe and recapture some of the bottom end I lost with the true duals.

Do yourself a big favor and the next few times your out riding pay attention to the area you find yourself riding in most of the time. That's the area you need to improve and not so much the areas you do not ride in much. Some people ride it like they stolid it while other cruise it. If your going to ride two up loaded most of the time your requirements will be completely different than a solo rider hotrodding around all the time. There is no one size fits all, nor a perfect setup for all conditions.

will give you an idea of what the differences are in many popular camshafts in two different engine sizes.
