Default 07 Tranny vs. 08 Tranny

Not that I want to start another "Tranny Post" (and I'm sure somone will say "ANOTHER TRANNY POST" What I am curious to know is, if "nothing has changed" between the 07 and 08 tranny what is MOCO doing to the 08 trannysto eliminate the5th gear noise? Myself am using the "Redline Heavy Shock Proof Oil" and I am pleased with the results, I am just worried about the resale factor if I were to ever sell the bike. I say that, but still have my 1998 I can't part with yet either. Curious to hear others thoughts out there that have been able to compare 07's to an 08! For those of you that traded, did the dealer ream you on your 07???

yup, i think the IDS was their solution and seems to be working according to the preliminary reports of the new bikes being much quieter.

Let's see when someone breaks open the new tranny to compare the 07 and 08's.

Personally i may try the IDS (proven on many a metric bike for ages btw), when the belt needs changing.

Is the aftermarket working on a IDS type kit for us?

What tranny noise? Mine sounds great! I don't think all 07's have the noise issue.
