Default 2011 Street Glide - Paul Yaffe's 14" bars

Hi,

You guys know if the Paul Yaffe's 14in. bars will clear factory mirrors or do I need to get new mirrors?

Nope, you will need new mirrors. I have them on my 2016 cvo sg and they make the fairing mirrors useless.

Had Yaffe 14" Monkey bars on my 17 CVO Street glide. Mirrors worked just fine for me. Very good view out of them, put 24K miles on the bike like this. They are still working fine for the guy who bought that bike from me.

Your bars are not mounted upright. They are pulled way back from where most guys position their bars. That's why they're blocking your fairing mirrors.

I have had 12" Yaffe Monkey Bagger Bars on two different Street Glides over the years, and the stock fairing mirrors were unobstructed.

OP, sounds as if, you really need to see for yourself, removing the stock mirrors and going to a different setup isn't difficult

Isn't that the whole point of installing apes? Adjust the position for the rider?

Of course, the preference of the individual rider trumps all. I was just stating that the handlebars on your bike were not upright, like most other riders position their bars...hence rendering your fairing mounted mirrors obstructed. The whole point of my post was to inform those out there contemplating a pair of Yaffe Monkey Bagger Bars was to show that the fairing mounted mirrors are perfectly fine with 14" or 12" Yaffe bars, as long as you don't mount the bars rotated back towards you.
