Default Paint Scheme opinions

Hey All, I own a 2018 vivid black street glide and I am thinking of adding some orange paint to it.
I don't know if airbrushed is possible. I was thinking of adding orange to my vivid black where the attached pic shows black/gray.
Any thoughts?

That is a large area to airbrush. If I was going to do it i would use a touch up gun.

You can do that. To do it right, you'd want to sand the entire bike. add those orange graphics, and then clear the entire bike.

Other option would be to tape off what you want orange, spray it, clear it, untape....but this will leave a sharp edge and be prone to chipping.

Or do it all with a pinstriping brush over the clear, but youll feel it.

I only recommend the first option.

Personally, I always thought MoCo's paint schemes were created from a 10 year old kid in art class. :-) But to each their own. As Puglia10 has stated, it would be best to sand whole bike, add your desired scheme and clear over it all. I painted my 08 RK with Kustom Kanz with much satisfaction. Incredibly easy to use and not bad on the wallet either. I had called a few bodyshops prior to painting it myself for 300$. Was quoted 12/1500 to paint tank, fenders, side covers & bags! Huh? I told them both "we used to paint whole cars for 1000$'! :-)

It really needs to be done with the parts off the bike and the whole thing clear coated but to make it so you can not feel the paint lines you would need to sand and buff it after it was done. 3m makes a fine line tape and using a water base paint would be best because that don’t build up to thick. Any body and paint shop with a good painter could do this for you

lol 1500 is crazy cheap for a whole bagger. The paint and tape alone is a few hundred...and its a LOT of pieces to sand. I probably have over 150 hours in my RG paint.

I think painting a bagger is more involved than painting a car. Harley paint, easily 400 in paint. To the op take it off and do it right and it will look awesome.
