Do you use them? How well do they work? No, they're not just for dirt bikes.

I have 16" bars on a Street Glide, so my hands are in the wind a little. I don't want/need heated grips, but would like less wind/rocks/bugs hitting my hands. It's worse in the summer with the extreme heat, you'd think your fingers will melt.

Found this pic on the web ---

Those look good and they are easy on and off. As a long time rider and snowmobiler, here in snow country, I can attest that getting wind off your paws is conducive to a comfortable ride.

I put wind deflectors on my tombstone style windshield, on my metric cruiser. I am also trying different windscreens with hand protection on my Russian Ural.

And hand guards will help a lot on those cold desert night rides.

I haven't used them, but I read an earlier thread where a number of guys swear by them. I don't recall where they got them from, but you'll find them through Google. It seems to me that they were pretty cheap if you want to try them out (and remove if no likey).

. The work REALLY well. I only put them on once temps go into the 40's. If you can't do it, my Joe Rocket heated gloves work really well. However, they can actually can be too warm even when the heat is not turned on. They're pretty well insulated which means they're also bulky (another con). To circle back,...I prefer my insulated gauntlets with separate Gator Skin liner https://www.firstmfg.com/products/ga...n-glove-liners and the wind deflectors. No sweaty hands, not bulky and ample cold wind protection.

I bought hand guards that were made by Moose Racing.... I called them Elephant Ears....heavy padded material, velcro straps to hold them on... and they blocked the wind from your hands. I used these on my Sportster and they did the job. Keeping wind off your hands helps a lot. Some may say they could move back and hit the clutch and brake controls, but I never had any problems. They were fairly cheap....$20-30. Just another option you could look at. Link below:

I have them on my 2018 FLHCS (Heritage). I installed them to keep my hands warmer when riding in the cool weather. They help a bit. I also find that they help protect my hands from bugs and road debris especially in the summer when I prefer not to wear gloves.
