2011 street glide with 103 engine. No mods except xieds, slip ons and big sucker af. Battery died, charged to full charge, started bike up. Now has high idle. Idles around 1800 to 2000 rpm. Normal idle around 800 rpm. What to check or how to get it back to normal idle. Have rode it for an hr or so and still idles at 1800 to 2000.
It sounds like the fly by wire throttle position sensor needs reset. Hopefully someone else remembers the process. It involves turning the ignition on and off a number of times. Try doing a search for this subject.

To reset your idle setting back turn the ignition switch on for 10 seconds off for 10 seconds (do not start the engine), repeat a total of 4 times. That should reset your original throttle position.
The throttle by wire will remember throttle position each time the bike is shut down
Don’t roll the throttle when using the kill switch
