Default Fork fang question

My bike is in my sig, a '14 Ultra Classic. I am wondering if fork fangs affect handling at all. By handling ,I am referring to any noticeable buffeting in the handlebars from them?

Thinking of adding them, if I can, to see about smoothing the ride out ever further. I don't think the looks would bother me.

Don't affect handling that I am able to tell. They do reduce helmet head-bob (buffeting) however, so even though (at first) I didn't particularly care for the looks of them, I would never go back to blurry vision > 80kmh. I had aftermarkets I was given (really fugly), but went with genuine HD (not as fugly)

YMMV

I put the HD fangs on a StreetGlide. Very happy with the greatly reduced blast of air up from either side of the tank at speed. No reduction in handling.

Put them on my bike a couple years ago , no change in steering what so ever , no more lower buffeting , I'll never take them off .

On my RK, two acorn nuts. They work great to reduce buffeting, I'm thinking ever so often I can feel them, might be in my mind though, they don't do anything bad though.

Ok next question, what are they REALLY called. Tried looking them up on HD website, and nothing in windshields and deflectors, did search for fork deflectors, nothing. Also looked up fork fangs, for kicks and grins, same result.

I don't know if they make them for different bikes or not, this is what I have.

Thanks. Well that question is answered. Does not fit with lower fairings. I take mine off in summer, but that leaves a few months of getting beat up. Its not as bad as it was, so I guess I live with it.
