The problem is, the new OEM CVO Bar & Shield Badge is mounted to a tank that sits above an M8 motor. Went thru two of them already and gave up, (for now), which is why I put a $4500 paint job on an almost unused '14 FLHXS and put a knock off badge that I like on it instead spending $45,000 for a badge I like that comes with MORE motor problems, lol. I'm good thanks.......
I just used regular ol' Scotch Tape and lightly taped it to my tank till I got it where I wanted it. Used a dry erase pen to put some indicating marks of the tank, peeled the double stick tape backing off, and stuck it on. Measured and copied for the other side. NO ONE has come up to my bike and measured the location of my knock off badge and told me it was off from the OEM CVO measurement. I like how mine turned out, so there it is...........
