solo seat roundup

RE: solo seat roundup
I selected the Mustang from among three contenders: Corbin, Mustang, and Sundowner. The Sundowner was ruled out early on because it would not fit a backrest. I used Corbins on my '96 RK, the last being a Close Solo that I rode for eight years, and it was excellent.
When I bought the '07 SG I chose Mustang #79100 because it was $200 less than the Corbin with backrest, and the positive feedback I was getting from owners was hard to ignore. After living with it for about eight months, I can say it is the equal of the Corbin. It isn't leather, but I can't see a downside to the vinyl covering, as it is quite comfortable and breathes well.
In defense of Corbin, sitting on one initially will take you aback since they are quite firm, if not downright hard. That is not a gauge for the comfort of the seat, as although they are indeed hard, they are very comfortable on the long haul, especially after breaking in. Don't judge the seat's comfort based on this first impression.
