Anyone going to the Four Corners Bikers Ralley over Labor day weekend? We are heading out from Reno, NV on 8/28 and staying in Durango, CO for a couple of days. Will visit the two rally sites from there. Looking forward to alot of fun and a good week of riding.

 

Make sure you spend some time in the mineral pools at Pagosa Springs. We went to a place that had 18 different pools. Each pool was at different temperature and minerals content. It was well worth the time spent, after a long day of riding. You'll feel nice and refreshed!

 

Headed there last year only to find out while on the road that they canseled it.... We still went to Durango for the night as did a bunch of other up-set people - then headed north to the Loveland, Co Rally (Thunder in the Rockies)... Which by-the-way wasn't the best rally I ever went to... But the Ride was GREAT!

 

Go up there almost every year in August just to get away from the heat. The bike rally is just like all the rest of 'em..... ho-hum. Take the opportunity to head North from Durango one morning and ride to Silverton and eat brakfast at the Brown Bear Cafe on Main Street. Then head up to Ouray over the Million Dollar Highway (cost 1M/mile to build years ago) and VERY scenic, twisty.......worth the effort and time. It is a beautiful part of Colorado, especially in the Fall if you catch the Aspens turning gold. Take your rain gear......likely to get a brief shower every afternoon.

 

Did the same thing last year. But we were locked into paying for our room for a week, with no Rally. We did make the best of it and did some rides in the area. I will never sign up for that rally again. Alot of people got screwed out of a lot of money. It could happen again.
