So you want $25k for a 2005 HD with no engine mods (ok, Stage 1 kit)? I agree with the others, you must really want to keep it! Retail on that bike isn't even $17k; hard to imagine paying another $8k just for accessories!

I'd try Ebay with that price, there are plenty of suckers on there looking for a 'deal'!

For 20K i could get an 08 ultra, drop about 5 geez in chrome that I want on it. Sounds like a good deal for someone who doesnt know any better.

Duke, Tell me where you can buy an '08 Ultra for 20 K and I'll fly to that dealership! A good price is $23,585 OTD where I'm at and then I'll have to add loan interest.

Dave, I hate to see you get rid of a nice Ultra like that but hope you get the price you're after. You, me, and everyone else on this forum spend a ton of money on extras and getting that money back is tough. I'm in a similar situation with my '05 Fatboy with $23,500 invested and a generous dealer is offering $15,000 on a trade. Another dealer said my best bet was to strip the accessories and sell them on e-bay. I'll keep my Fatboy for around town and add a second bike before I lose my a$$ on it.

soos:great idea butjust don't use it likeI should -touring the countryside - wish I had the time - the wife doesn't ride and wehave three kids at home.
Hear you. I almost gave up too.

Kids, new job, a move, new house, etc.... I let the machines sit for awhile and sold one. The other I stowed in the garage and would fire it up once in awhile. When things got settled(and kids got a little older, I cranked it back up. I now take the kids for a ride, they help me watch motorcycle racing, now the little one want s a dirt bike (he's 6 now).

As so the tradition continues on....

Wisconsin has some beautiful countryside. Cold winters though.

Hope you get through this all by not selling it.

We're pulling for you Bro!

Join the Shrine (for the right reasons I hope), be a Peace Officer or Firefighter, Be a H-D employee, or I believe active duty military gets a pretty good deal too.

Anyone interested in the Shrine aspect, PM me, I'll be happy to talk anytime!
