Default Trying the new Harley adaptive headlight.

First off, I know its expensive, and I know JW Speaker makes one. I couldn't get over the look of the JW so I spent the extra $200 to get what I wanted.

First con for me (second if you count the high cost) was they didn't include the adapter harness for older 3 prong harness bikes like my 2010. It's a $14 part but I didn't want to wait three days for my dealer to order one so I just spliced on the end from my $40 sunpie LED i was running (great light FWI).

Next con is that the color of the light doesn't match my custom dynamic turn signals like my sunpie light did.

I do like the looks with the light off, it goes with my bike well. I also like the extra visibility that the halo ring adds for on coming vehicles to see me, since I don't have highway lights a little extra lighting helps.

Can't review the the adaptive feature since it's raining and I just installed it, but without highway lights I hope it does what it claims. I know it's early to post since the adaptive is the main feature of the light but I'll update after I get some miles on it.

MRI electric center stand, I just hit a switch and it goes up and down. Also have rear air ride.

After I added the 2014 bags and fender to my 2010 the D&D Boarzilla 2-1 muffler with ghost pipe wasn't long enough, so I cut the ends flat and just added some black end caps.

Cheaper than buying two new custom length D&D mufflers.

I'd like to hear your thoughts after riding with it at night some time. I have been, and will probably be stuck on evening shift for some years to come. That puts me on the highway and backroads at 11:30 every night I ride in, which is almost every day. Could be a good addition to the bike.

Looking forward to your night time review. My Mazda headlights turn into the corners and is a nice feature. Great looking bike!
  1. Are those Dakota Digital Gauges? Been wanting those for about 15 year now lol
  2. What mount did you use for your Garmin?

I had the JW speaker version, (they probably make the HD version), I contacted them about the color,
they said it's intentionally yellow, to be more eye appealing. But I'm with you on the color difference with my CD run/turns
I don't like it.
My experience was, though the adaptive did fill the sides in a turn, not wide enough.
I put the Daymaker back on due to a different (strange malfunction) reason not relevant here.
