If you buy the ones from J&M they come with everything you need and the CB works great. I use to have trouble picking up a certain FM station with the whips and now it comes in loud and clear.

I bought the short ones from J&M also and they work great! Better than the whips...

Don't cut a CB antenna. That's how you tune the SWR. You have a chance of blowing the finals in the CB.

Wouldn'tcutting down the whip antennas reduce your am/fm reception, and degrade your cb transmission/reception, if not damage the cb?
