Highway Pegs, whats your pick?
Ive got a 2011 Road Glide I bought in March, and now that im going on "real" rides I would like to get some highway pegs to put on my crash bars for when my left knee starts getting stiff. I dont know anything about highway pegs. Would prefer something of decent quality and black in color.
So what do you all use / like?

I had hiway pegs for the longest time, but the area where you put your boot (between heel and flat part of your foot) would hurt after a couple of hours. I bought some Ciro 3D ASR floorboards and love them!!!! Now there's no pain on the bottom of my feet and I can keep them up on them for hours and hours.

I have had Jack Knife highway pegs on my Road Glide for at least 10 years, my go to foot position when cranking out the miles. Very different than the floor boards, it gives your legs a chance to stretch out and also changes the pressure points on your back side, which is a huge benefit on a long day. You want the kicker peg for easy deployment when riding. I recommend 100%. When not in use they fold up under the boards which to me looks better than the pegs up in the highway bar.

Harley's angled mounts (short and long) look nice and clean, but they seem designed to only work on the near side of the bar which doesn't do much good for long legged people.
I'm 6'3" and I use Harley's 360 mount with regular old Streamliner pegs. I keep them on the far side of the crash bar and quite low.

I like the ones with the heal deal on them, holds the foot nice.

I have these in chrome and they have a high quality finish, are very durable and hold like a pitbull. I've had some cheaper ones and I had a hard time getting them to stay in desired position. Some of the cheaper ones are cast from inferior metals and will break apart on even a light impact. I noticed some of the reviews regarding the adjustable set screw are very negative but I've had no problem with an occasional adjustment of the angle stop.
Note: These are just the mounts, pegs not included.

I've got the Harley Short adjustable and the mini footboards. It honestly took 10 different rides and 10 different adjustments to get them in the right place. If you can tolerate the trial and error, there is the ideal fit with the adjustable mounts. I also bought a $20 pair of mounts off Amazon, that worked just find as well, but it didn't put me in the correct position to get pressure off my back, so went back to trial and error, then found the SWEET SPOT!
Good luck, they make a world of difference and I wouldn't ride without them.
