Default What is the deal with Rush slip-ons???

I was just browsing some exhaust threads here in the touring forum and seems alot of people run these. Are they that good??? They look similar to the Wild Pig slip-ons. I was debating on slip-ons for my soon to be 07 Road Glide. Top on my list were the Pythons. But I am wondering if the Rush may be a better bet. I did have Wild Pigs on my Street Glide and I really didn't like the sound. I like loud, deep and throaty but not raspy, tinny and obnixious. So far out of all the pipes I have ever heard the Rineharts still have the best sound. But they are out of the budget right now.

Deep they are, and damned loud, especially with true duals. I put 2 1/2" on mine and couldn't believe how they sounded. Have to admit there is a whistle in mine when backing off. I'll find it and get it straightened out. I really like the sound

Anyone had a chance to compare the sound of the Rush to the Wild Pigs, Pythons, or Rinehart slip-ons???

In my opinion the rush mufflers are the best sounding pipes next to the Rineharts, I have V&H tru duals with Rush mufflers, 2 1/2" baffles, very deep sound, the 2 1/4" sounds good also and will give a little more back pressure, the stealer near where I live is selling the crap out of them, he said that Harley reconmended them for a aftermarket pipe, go figure, also every time I go on a ride on a poker run or a benifit peploe are always asking what kind of pipes are those, then they want'em, try them and I think you will like what ya hear.

Ok they are under consideration. What is the cheapest place to get them.

Now ya got me on that one, around here they are about 275 to $290, a parts place may have them cheaper, wish I could help on this one but someone may chime in with the info.

MM

I had Pythons on my 04 RK...they were nice. I ride with a guy that has a RKC & he has Pythons. I put V&H Ovals on my 07 Electra and they have a similar sound...although I think the V&H are a tad quieter and maybe a little deeper.

I too looked into RUSH as SHB recommended them to me for both price, quality, and performance. I girl I work with has a Nightster that she put RUSH on...they were pretty loud to me for a slip on.

All I can say is EBAY, EBAY, EBAY, I've seen them for as little as $225 on there.

I had 2 inch on my street glide, love em. People constantly say that they are too loud but they have different baffles for quieter or louder. My 2 inch lets me hear my radio well at 70mph, I don't think that's too loud. As someone else mentioned I get asked all of the time what my mufflers are and compliments on how good they sound. Buy them, you won't regret it.
