Ok...... Put a new battery in her, no change but wow does she spin better!! Cleaned IAC valve, did seem to improve some but still an inconsistent idle. (up and down between 10000 and 1200 rpm)

I have been working with V&H on "tweeking" a map that i had been running. Problem seems to have started after that tweek. Working with V&H on a solution. Will update.

I found that the inconsistent idle , only at start up ( cold start or after it sat for a bit ) is perfectly normal . Now , if it's inconsistent after it has fully warmed up , it could be a small leak in the intake system , air cleaner or intake seals , possibly injector seals .

Put a new IAC in it. The air port thru there is hudge. Spraying just washes black crud up pass o-ring and jams up that little resolver motor.

OK..... Vance & Hines sent me a download with yet another "tweek"...... Started it up in the garage and let it run for about 10 minutes and in cautiously optimistic. Idle seems to have calmed down and pretty steady at 950 rpm. Once they get done with the road patch work... (what a f*ck*ng cluster) will tell the story. Replacing the IAC will be the long-term fix i believe. Again, will advise after about an hour ride hopefully tomorrow.

Ok, road for a few miles and although better she still stalls out and dies at stops. Almost like not enough idle but what do I know? I did notice (might just be me) that the rear cylinder exhaust pipe is pretty dam hot after only a 2-3 mile ride, Oil temp was 140 when I shut her down.
Stumped again.

Could be the head temp sensor. Buddies 07 RK did this to him on the way home from a long weekend ride. New head temp sensor and all was good.
