Default Not Murdered...but “Mostly Dead.”

When the DoD imposed travel restrictions on me at the height of the COVID mess, I decided what a perfect time to start a project and put my stimulus money to use. I’m a chrome junky from way back, so blacking our my ‘15 Street Glide has been near-therapeutic. I think I might leave a few splashes of chrome on her, but ya never know.😎

First round of parts out for powder coating.

...and it keeps growing🤓

I've been doing the same over the last couple of months, already had a bunch of parts waiting around for a rainy day. I'd like to do the exhaust but don't want the faded black look I've seen from a few powder coated exhausts.

Also DoD and at home for the last 4 months blacking out a bike. I've been doing my own powder in my garage though. Good times! One of these days I'll do a before and after.

Well, eight weeks and roughly 62 parts later, I’m liking the way she turned out. I’ll eventually do the fork lowers and rocker box covers. It was a fun project for the most part. Nothing too difficult.

Looks good as is, I debated swapping out my chrome legs for black as well. Happy I went with the black. What exhaust do you put on?

Thanks. Those are Baddad’s Long Strokes on Vance & Hines Power Duals Header. I had the mufflers and heat shield’s done in ceramic.
