Choosing a fuel tuner

Choosing a fuel tuner
I have an 04 Road King Classic FI that is new to me. Really the only mods I see myself doing are an S&S Teardrop air filter and a set of Supertrapp pipes. I have been researching fuel controllers for a while. Thought I had my head wrapped around them but that doesn't seem like the case the more I look into it. I'm looking for something that will auto learn if that's the right terminology. Basically plug and play, install and forget. I don't want to spend time creating my own map or fine tuning things. For my needs I think it's overkill but feel free to convince me otherwise if you think I'm in the wrong here.
I am leaning towards the cobra FI2000R. Seems like a reliable inexpensive unit that can simply be removed if necessary (failure, faults etc). Anyone have any guidance on these things? I am not looking to create a ton more power. Just looking for some correction on the a/f ratio when adding pipes and air cleaner.

All I'm going to suggest , is that you buy a tuner that does not piggy back the injectors , just an added accessory that may fail and cause issues down the road . Most tuners now will only require a flash and go . If you do end up having to do a little fine tuning , it should only take a day , not so bad in my opinion .

TTS or PowerVision.
I have had nothing but great results with PowerVision. Download map flash it to ECM and run 3 or 4 20 minutes autotune sessions. If you get it from Fuel Moto you get maps and support that is 2nd to none.
I still ended up getting a Dynotune with the PowerVision just because I wanted my bike to run it’s absolute best and that is something only a quality pro tuner can accomplish.
I wouldn’t go budget minded on tuning when it’s what makes all the pieces work together like they are supposed to.

Youre choices are limited since most of the tuners today are for newer ecm with O2 sensors. Here is a good article to get you started, personally in the pre 2005 bikes I used to use the power commander back then.

A newb asking a question and gettin butt hurt. You won't get very far. I'm sure you will have a smarta$$ reply to this as well. If you want cheap go cheap and don't say you weren't warned whne you come back asking us about your new found issues. On a side note since you are all in ur feelings why don't you try to make you subject something correct. Wtf is a fuel tuner? Is it something that tunes fuel for higher octane or what?
