Default Best batwing fairing windshield

I have a reckless fairing and I run a 10in windshield. I have already had 2 crack on me out on the road. Do you guys have any suggestions on longer lasting windshields?

I have been running a LRS for 5 years and no cracks. Do not over tighten them.

I've been very satisfied with my Freedom Shields.

I have a National Cycle “wave”
it’s polycarbonate not acrylic and very thick and durable.

Yup. Freedom Shields. They're thicker than stock, there's no distortion in then recurve. And they're strong as hell. Two years ago a hit a turkey that hit the right side of the windshield, then the right saddlebag & right side of the tour pack. No cracks or scratches in the windshield, still looks brand new after more than 6 years.

I just got a shorty Klock Werks Flare (3.5 - comes to be stock height, but looks cooler) and Memphis Shades Spoiler (5” height). The Memphis is WAY thicker and beefier, although the KW shield looks killer the Memphis in my opinion is a better product.

Have had Freedom Shields and LRS. Freedom is considerably thicker and costs more. Both are great shields. If I have to buy another shield it would be Freedom. You can’t go wrong with either shield.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'll probably look into freedom shields. I was looking at LRS and klock werks and I had no idea how I'd like the curve and I also prefer to look through the windshield since I travel about 90 miles on the highway per day

Are you by chance using blue Loc-tite on your screws?

Blue Loc-tite will weaken plastic and cause it to crack.

No locktite at all. Just took the bolts and nuts they gave me and snugged them. I pretty much ride between 80 and 90 all the time. The windshield has 1,500 miles on it this season so far but I noticed that the windshield is considerably a cheaper and thinner material than my father in laws 08 ultra classic OEM windshield. I'm thinking reckless fairing sells cheap thin windshields that way you buy their product when you order a fairing
