I live in a rural area where I only have cell service when I get near a town of some kind so cell phones are about useless to me most of the time. I found that ANY LED bulbs on my bike, even just turn signal bulbs would fry my radio reception. OP I don't know if it will help with your newer bike but on my 2010 I got a pair of the old style steel whip antennas from an 08 model and I got slightly better reception.
