Default Tire help

Just picked an 09 ultra glide and it apparently still has the original tires. Date code is 09. What tires are most of y’all running. Dunlop’s like the factory installed, Michelin’s or what? I assume a tire purchased from a dealer with HD written on it is just an over priced tire.

"everybody" runs everything. A lot of folks run oem tires, no issues, including myself.

American elites are great tires! Dunlop will tell you they are better than the stock Dunlop tires.

Michelin commander 3 touring. I have run the American Elites on my 09 but with the Michelin commander 2 and 3 the ride quality and wear is far superior. American Elites are not a bad tire but I found the Dunlops seem to ride a little stiff for the roads in Western NY and PA.

What roads in WNY? Near every road in NYS is a bombed out, wagon rutted Revolutionary War trail.

Now north central PA and the Endless Mts. are b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!

My point exactly on the roads in WNY. Erie, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus counties and North Western PA are Warren, McKean, and parts of Forrest county. Switching to Michelins was a huge improvement for riding on bombed out runways.
