Default New Battery Charging Time with a Battery Tender

I'm charging an OEM 2014 Road King on e Battery Tender. It's been charging for over 3 hours and it's not at 80% yet. How long should it take to charge my new battery?

It all depends on output of the tender, the Amp-hour rating of the battery, and the state of charge when first connected.

Whenever I have bought a new battery I just put it in the bike and leave the tender plugged in overnight and have never had a problem.

That low should have it CHARGED, not tendered.
Big difference!

Yep.you generally need to charge a battery at rate of10% of its full charge. Look into an Optimate charger with up to a 5 amp rating.
