I do really like the sound of Rinehart’s, which is one reason why I lean towards not making a chang. Which cams did you go with?

I think a switch from a true dual to a 2/1 is about the largest swing in performance you can get. I went from decat’d and debaffled stock exhaust to a Pro Pipe and my FP3 showed significant HP and torque gains. Plus it sounds so good.

Really? It seems, from my reading, most people say that you probably won’t notice a difference between the two. But I do see a few people that have had both and claim it’s a big difference.

I went with Andrews 48 and used a powervison tuner. I like the Rineharts sound that’s why I went with there system. And the price is not bad either. In my opinion after installing it, a 2 into 1 looks cleaner you don’t have a pipe running under the bike or down the other side

Default True duals

I have an '07 RK. V&H Big Shots, stage 1 w/SEPro tuner. The bike pulled and ran strong when I got it. It would pop on decel. The head pipe cracked so I went with V&H true duals keeping my pipes. No pop following that. Still sounds great, might have a little less torque but I'm not a hot dog and it pulls just fine off the line and on the highway.

I noticed low end torque and better sound Immediately. My FP3 has a Torque and HP reading. I am not sure how accurate but it was a substantial increase. There are dyno tests on true duals and 2/1 showing improvements so you can get your proof.

I've put a lot of work into my 08 with a 110" TC and though I had the idea and funds for new exhaust, I kept my Rinehart true duals. I like having the heat split so that my right leg isn't burning, and I like the looks of them. With the right cams and tune, I don't feel like I am missing anything on the low end that a new exhaust will offer. With the 585G cams, my Road Glide can get the wheel in the air in both 1st and 2nd gear, not sure how much more torque I need on a 950lbs touring bike.

Good points. You can get torque with a cam, more CI, exhaust or other tuning I guess or all the above. My 103 TC was torque starved after my exhaust and intake mods. My FP3 and Pro Pipe gave me some back. I may do a torque cam at some point but I am happy with its ability to pull my wife and I loaded down.

Cheers.

Anybody know about the cost of getting some cams? Maybe the SE-255 cams.

I did an internet search. It says the cams are 349.95 from HD.
