Default Heated Hand Grips

Hey all. I have a 2007 FLHX Street Glide. Was looking at the heated grips. Any one installed some? Problems, or easy install. And/or, like some things on the bike. Is my Harley pre-wired for these? As in, pull the old grips off, plug in the new.

I've never heard anything good about heated grips. I'm always hearing they only last a few months and then stop working. If I were you I'd look into heated gloves and even a heated jacket. I have both and ride all winter here in the Northeast as long as there's no snow, ice or salt on the roads.

It's not a Plug and play, you will need to route wires under the fuel tank, and some splicing, but it is not that hard if you read and understand the instructions...

I had two sets of Harley heated grips fail on me. So I got HotGrips. Those kick *** and don't fail.

Wait a second! Mass in the winter - no snow, ice OR salt on the roads? I never see it! There is always salt there! My cars I brought with me from AZ look pretty bad now!

Glad I read this thread. I was looking pretty hard at those yesterday. Too bad they are so unreliable... seems like it would be a really nice add-on.

Anyone with these have a good experience?

I had a pair on my LowRider. Worked fine.
Had a pair on my EG Classic. Left one stoppedheating after 2 years and all the foam started coming off both of them. I took them off and put on Kuryakyn ISOs.
Never again. Gauntlet gloves for me.
