Default Extended Warranty prices

Seems like prices are different everywhere. I did not not want to debate whether to get one or not because that is a personal preference in most cases and what most people are willing to accept. I am sure all of us would get an extended warranty if they could get it at a price they could deal with.
I have a 2006 Street Glide and my factory warranty runs out on 8/11. Iam debating moving forward with this option. In conversation with my dealer he told me I could get an additional 4 years at the price of $1850. Seems a little steep to me from the other threads on the subject. I am not sure how the pricing should work or does work. Perhaps they give you a better deal when you purchase with the bike upfront. Can we share some of the prices paid, duration, any other specfics you can share?

5K for 5 years, bumper to bumper. not an ordinary warranty, but wanted the 120 covered.cause it was a new gig. it was a special dealer backed warranty not a moco deal. glad i did it. have had some minor glitches, but less than on my 2000 heritage. also would be reimbursed 1000 bucks per year if i want out. not that i will. unless i need more go-go.[sm=confused06.gif]glider out

Default RE: Extended Warranty prices

I just boughtmy 2yr extended warranty from CoxsHD inRock Hill one month ago.The coverageincludes tire and wheel replacement for$1200.00. I price shopped and the it was the same at other dealers . One thing the dealer does is to charge late fee for not buyingit within 90 days of the bike purchase. I ask for a sheet with prices and they gave it to me fromHarley, the other thing you have to buy coverage before your original warranty expires. Hope this help.

email zanotti's, chicago hd, and asked for their pricing on the HD Extended Service Plan. Also check with other area dealers nearer to you.

These ESP's are sold like a motorcycle; the more the dealer can get for the contract the more $$$ the dealer makes--so shop around.

One side shows new bikes, the other used bikes. Most dealers around here sell the extended service plan at those prices, but expect the store that charges $2k over Harley's bike price to also charge over on the ESP.

Here's a chart that shows Harley's prices ... a little confusing, as there's pricing for Big Twins, XL & Buell, tire & wheel, new or used, and extended eligibility charge:

Exact same pricing here: http://www.suburbanharley.com/showro...sp_pricing.cfm

I learned the hard way that it is best to shop for prices on the HD ESP--I paid $250 more at the dealer that sold me the bike; could have saved the money buying the ESP from a different dealer.
