Default Tourer Training Wheels

I was talking to my sister-in-law and she was telling me about a friend of hers who just started riding and when down once so now has training wheels on the bike. I thought she was pulling my leg. However, I found this on the internet.

Is it just me or does that defeat the purpose of riding a motorcycle?[sm=dontgetit.gif]

On the way back from Effingham, last month We passed a wing that had a set of training wheels on it. the older gentelman that was riding it, needed them when he stopped. At least he is still riding.

This is only acceptable for someone who is handicapped. if you are able bodied and use this rig, you should stay in your cage

I can't imagine that setup handles very well...

The first time riding with the local HOG chapter they put me in the back behind an older gentleman that had that setup. We went around the first corner and I thought the whole thing was flipping over. The inside turn side of the training wheels came way off the pavement but it turned out to be normal. The road captains put me in front of him after the firststop as they knew it aways freaks out folks.

As far as who uses them.....If it allows me to ride a few extra years when I get older, you better believe I will have them. I'm sure nobody has them installed that doesn't really need them. Why spend the money and get all of the dumb questions.
