Default This Is Bullchit...

I installed the HD oil temperature guage last december. Didn't really get to use it until march or so. Just like the other guages it fogged up occassionally and had moisture inside the lense after washing it. Well saturday nite I washed the bike. Sunday morning I couldn't read the guage, it was so full of moisture. I rode all day sunday in great, warm temps and it wouldn't clear up. Sunday nite, 24 hours later the guage is still water logged. What a POS!!!! The pics are at the 24 hr mark.

Anyone have the Wally's guage and does it get moisture in it too? Would the Wally's guage accept the same wire connections as the POS HD unit so that I could just do a swap out?

Man I am PISSED!![:@]

My fuel gauge used to do that. I took it back to the dealer and they said .. "Oh well, they do that sometimes."

Then the Gauge "broke" and I had it replaced under warranty. They had no problems doing it when it did not function

That was the same answer I got from the parts guy at my dealer, word for word. They must issue the same "answer" manual to all you HD guys.[:-]

Hey! I resemble that comment If you plan on swapping out for the Roger Mcewan Wally's jobbie before you do, take the smalles drill bit that you can find and drill a very small hole at the bottom of the gauge. This may allow it to clear up and clear up quicker in the future

soos, I feel your pain. But that is one of the things I can,t complain about on my bike.I wash it every week with a garden hose, ride it in the rain and so far Never had a gauge fog up with moisture. Come to think of,it, I,m going to celebrate This rare and monumental occasion. Any one care to join me in a cold one???? Dan
