I see in another post tha Monster made the decision to get a RG. I believe that is a good move compared to modifying the SG. I would imagine that eventually selling/trading a converted SG into a shark nose would be nearly impossible.

8 hours 27 minutes and 20 posts later a decision. Now that's one decisive individual. It took me 3 years to decide on a new Ultra color and I still ended up with vivd black.
Good luck with the new bike and I hope the headache is over.

Here's my story. I have an 07' Ultra Classic with 7400 miles - $26,500 invested. I like the thought of the 6 gallon tank and ABS brakes. Even though I've had several bikes with ABS and never used them, I still like the option. I hoped to trade my bike in for an 08'. The dealer offered me $16,000 for my bike in trade. I couldn't do it! Currently, I'm paying for a kid in college and hope to retire before I'm 62 years old. That said, if I had " throw-away-money", why not trade? It's the same dilema we all face every year! When the water cooled touring bikes arrive, we'll all be looking to trade our, "garbage wagons" in for the new ones! That's why marketeers make the big bucks!
