RE: Who has added the lower fairing to there bikes
Just added a pair of vented lowers to my Street Glide and love 'em. You'll still get some air turbulence bouncing off your knee caps but it will be much less than what you're experiencing now. With open vents you still get plenty of air around your legs and around the motor. In fact, I kept pretty close track of myoil temps before I installed them and then again after they were added. No difference to speak of, probably because when the vents are open the air is funneled right to the motor.

i found a set at a swapmeet. $100 for both lowers and all the hardware.one was black and the other one blue. went to the hardware store and bought a rattle can krylon gloss black to paint the blue one. been on the bike for over ten years. i won't take them off.

Put a set of vented lowers on my 05 RK.Great for riding in the fall and spring.Give you a lot of wind protection and water protection while still channeling cool air to the mtr.I take mine off when the temps reach the 80's for the summer though.I haven't noticed any heat build up with them on,just protection from the elements.
