RE: Best Touring Modle for the buck
This thread is only going to confuse You IMHO!
We all have different taste so We all ride the bike that's right for us.I will tell You classic because that's what I ride and prefer but it might not be right for You.You need to look at all the options on the Classic and the Ultra (the 2 best touring bike IMHO) and see what options are right for YOU.For all we know, you might want the lower fairings and cb where I did not. It's all up to You (not us) to decide what is right for YOU.Just My 2 cents!

RE: Best Touring Model for the buck
Road Glide or EG Classic
Road Glide
1) Better stock seat, more support and pushed back seating position.(Must add sissy bar and pad for passenger $$$)
2) Cruise control standard
3) Fixed fairing, more stable above 60 mph
4) Fixed fairing, not classic look, good or bad
5) Better front head lights
EGClassic
1) Classic look fairing
2) Tour pak standard, with the Queen's rearseat
3) Better rear running lights
4) Poor handling at higher speeds (80mph+)
5) Stereo sounds louder, speakers are closer to rider
Question is . . are you going to be riding two up?
