09 Ultra Classic ABS issues
Lookin for help with my ABS on my 09 Ultra Classic. The unit is seized and I don't want to replace it. I've tried work arounds that I seen on here and no good results. What I want to try is just removing the ABS all together and installing just regular brake lines. Does anyone know where I can order a set of lines, front and rear, or what other bike I could retrofit lines to my 09. Been ridin for over 45yrs with no ABS and I really don't see the need to go broke replacing a flawed system only to replace it again in a few years. Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a member on this site that has done exaclty what you're trying to do. Ill reach out to him tomorrow and ask if its ok for me to give you his screen name and then you can contact him. I dont really know what the protocol is for giving out someone's name so that's why i want to ask him first...great guy whos helped me multiple times and im not going to burn my bridge lol...

Did you get the abs recall brake flush done in 2018? Just curious... This abs fiasco is a huge money maker for HD. In early 2018 an abs hcu could be purchased online from an HD dealer for as little as $270. Now it costs $550. And the free flush recall generated a lot of abs failures that cost $600-$1000 to fix. A few members would argue that using a Digital Tech was not needed to flush abs because it was not in the manual. Well, HD changed the manual in 2018. And the 14+ models are Bosch, not the BWI, Beijing West Industries, Chinese abs on 08-13 bikes.
Here are a couple abs bypass that maybe you did not know about..

At some point between 2014, and 2018, HD deemed it necessary to modify the brake fluid replacement procedure. Notice the special tools required, as well as the addition of step #9 in the 2018 manual.
Does the 2014 ABS system differ that much from the 2018 that each require nearly identical, although different procedures, or is it simply a matter of HD updating an outdated, and potentially dangerous procedure?

If ABS was optional when your bike was built, there should be two options, one with ABS, the other without. Try entering your bike here: http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....AE-CLASSIC-(FR)

DefaultGot her all fixed up & no more ABS problems, EVER!!!!!
Ordered a pair of double banjo bolts with new crush washers, & went to local hardware store and bought 2 bolts (m10-1.0) and washers. Removed all 4 lines from ABS block, stacked the front in on top of the front out, plugged the front out with a bolt, same for the rear. Then removed the ABS fuse from fuse panel & bled front and back brakes. Now I just have regular ol hydraulic brakes without the ABS problems. Heres the best part... including 2 cans of Dot 4, Ive only got about $20 in the repair!!!!!
