Hmm interesting. Have heard on here, more than one say a bit cramped in the back. Of course they do not post their size usually either, so who knows? I will have to see if there is one to ride tomorrow.

I guess it would depend on the "size" of the passenger.
None of mine complained and we ARE talking about females. If there was an issue, you know they would have let you know after a hundred miles or so. LOL
I’ve got a 2003 Heritage Softail Classic and a 2016 Streetglide. Like them both but they are 2 different machines. Rode to Sturgis and back on both and loved every bit of the 1,000 mile trip to just get there. The Softail will always be my favorite because it’s just so much fun in my area where I do most of my riding. All depends on how much and far you’ll be 2 up really on the bike.
Re the 07 you will be checking, if it still has the factory compensator, you can add at least $500 to the investment when it needs a new one if you do the work yourself, about twice that if you have it done..
Yea I have gotten that info from folks on this site. Its a fairly high mileage bike, at 47k so I figure its either been replaced already, or will sound like it needs to be. Noise on a hot startup is the telling tale, correct?
Ok sat, did not ride, on a soft tail. Didn't like the position, also the bags are smaller than they appear online, so its back to the ultra. Thanks to all for the input. A close family friend has a softtail that he loves, so thought it was worth a look. Plus, the clincher, today I rode the 40 miles one way to test ride some bikes, and with windshields, my head was almost ripped off from cross winds, very windy day. Riding an ultra through the same area, same speeds, could hardly tell the wind was blowing. THAT sealed the deal for me.
I know there are pros and cons to fairings vs windshields, and I WAS even considering road kings, till today.
