Has anyone had problems with the upgraded water pump on their 2016 twin cooled?
When Harley came out with the upgrade kit to adapt the M8 water pump to replace the OEM style on the 2016 twin cooled I know many of you made the change to the new pump.
Has anyone had the new style pump fail yet?
I am looking at buying a 2016 and I take long trips. I dont want this to be an issue.
Thanks

I did find a thread where dealers consistently say if it fails it is ok to continue riding it to either get home or make it to a dealer even if it is a couple hundred miles away.
I know on a car that would warp the head from the heat and ruin the valve seals.I would like to see a twin cooled head and see how much different it is from the air cooled head. If there is a lot of material there maybe that's accurate..

FWIW.... There have not been a lot of posts on this problem, since the initial surge of problems with the original pump, now that the new pump is out...
Come to think of it, I haven't seen any posts from/about the services that would rewire/fix the old style pumps, now that the new one has come out...
We all know how issues get magnified on the internet... so I guess that can mean the new pump is doing OK....
