Default Question about Thundermax Auto Tuner

Hey there Harley friends!

So I read all these great things about Thundermax tuners and I was able to get a good deal on a slightly used tuner for my 2013 Street Glide. It's the correct model for my bike.

When it arrived, the 02 sensors that came with it are GIANT compared to my stock 02 sensors. Is there some adapter I need so they fit or do they require aftermarket headers? The Thundermax Website appears totally broken which is an added bonus.

There are 18mm (your stock small O2) to 12mm adapters you can buy and screw into your exhaust O2 ports, but if your pipe has 18mm then the only way is to cut and weld new bungs or get new pipe.

is your exhaust header stock? Usually exhaust manufacturers make the bungs the bigger size, so it works on a variety of models and then you simply screw on the reducer onto the O2 to make it work.

Double check your part numbers:
309-460 is for 2002-2007 touring
309-362 is for 2008-2013 touring

There shouldn't be any adapters to put a 18mm O2 in a 12mm Hole even if you can find them ... If there was or is, they couldn't work correctly anyway

You won't be/ wouldn't have been able to plug in the ECM cable had it not been the correct TMax ... HD changed the connector in 2008

Try calling Tmax and see if you can buy the smaller O2’s and plug them into the unit or remove your exhaust and have a shop weld 12mm bungs in place of the 18mm.

are you using stock headers? If so ditch those and time for an upgrade.

That would have the same answer to the question ... "Do they make a 12mm Wide Band O2 sensor?" ... and you're not going to like it

I found a nice set of Vance & Hines headers for an '09 FLHX. They have the correct size hole for the 18mm 02 sensors. I'm just wondering if they'll interfere with anything on my 2013 FLHX?

Thanks

Get the V&H Headers and enjoy better exhaust and your tuner.
