Street glide aftermarket taillights wiring
New to the forums. So be easy on me 😂
2009 flhx street glide. 4 oem wires to taillights. As follows
orange - running lights
black - ground
Orange white stripe- brake light
Purple - left turn signal
brown - right turn signal
Have a street magic load equalizer wired under seat. Simple
new aftermarket rear lights has 3 wires as follows
orange - running light
black - ground
white - brake and turn signal
wired as follows
orange to orange
black to black
white to orange/white to left purple signal
white to orange/white to right brown signal.
running lights perfect
brake lights work perfect
turn signals not so much
turn left or right on and the front and real lights look like hazards on. What am I doing wrong?
replaced light relay already.

Are you looking at a wiring diagram?
Blue/White is running lamp (Orange/White is for international models).
The light assembly you are trying to use is probably designed to be used with a module that combines the function of the brake light and turn signals.
The bike does not have that capability, there are 4 separate circuits, 1 for each turn, 1 for run lamp and 1 for brake lamp.
You can`t just wire them together.
