Ever let anyone touch, sit on, ride your bike?

RE: Ever let anyone touch, sit on, ride your bike?
One time I was in Whitehorse on a bike trip. I was pulled over at a rest stop and an older couple with their grandson pulled in next to me. I was sitting at a picnic table nearby watching the little boy walk around and talk about the bike. I guess he was probably 7 or 8. So I walked over and asked if he'd like to sit on it. I helped him on the bike and they took picture of him (like 4 or 5). Put the helmet and gloves on him...I just thought that this is the part of the trip the kidmay remember...

Usually I will let anybody sit on my bikes, I will even let several people ride them. In fact I am letting a buddy ride my 03 Heritage from Denver to Sturgis this year. I am pretty casual about this stuff.... now some of my buddies... that is a different story!!!!

Three rules I expect people to live by
3) Don't kick my dogs
2) Don't pinch my wifes ***
1) Don't touch my Harley
In that order.
If I offer to let a friend ride it, that's one thing. But if I walk out of the store and find some dude sitting his little kid on my bike ever again, he's gettin an *** whippin that will make his entire family cry.
Yes, I said "again". It took everything I had to keep from rippin that dipsh!t a new one. Lucky for him I was already on probation and didn't need the legal hassles. I'm off now, so...yeh....watch it.

Yep, if I ever came out from some place and saw someone I didn't know sitting on my bike.. I'd probably lose my mind!
It's like someone you don't know walking into your house and looking in your fridge!
I've had to tell a couple of freinds who don't ride who tride to get on the bike "You have to ask first!"

...Of course, someone there built a little mini-chopper and he saw it. He made sure he told me that I was going to buy him that one when he got bigger. LOL Scary thing is, he WON'T forget he told me that.

I Came out of the resterant with a freind and he asked if he could sit on mine, I said sure. I was talking to someone else when we got outside, so I turned to him when he was on my bike and told him that, that wasn't my bike, He Freaked out. I did calm him down.

I have no problem letting someone sit on my bike, or ride it for that matter if I know they know how to ride. It is just a mode of transportation, just like anything else. It is not irreplacable.

I have NP if somebody sits on it, if they ask. Don't just presume that it's okay, and jump on w/o having the common courtesy of asking first.
