Default 2020 Street Glide, 7 or 10 inch windshield?

Just purchased 2020 Street Glide Standard, looking to replace stock shield, for 5’10” rider. Did a search and found discussions but very few recommendations. Stock shield has very little buffeting but wind in your face. Is going to the 7 inch any better. Can you look over the 10 inch? Thanks, Hall

Depends. That work?

Do some reading. You're either going to end up with a really tall shield or a shield taller than you have now with a flare/recurve to it. Maybe experiment with a cheap Amazon shield or two to find what works, then buy a quality unit like an HD wind splitter, KlockWerks flare etc etc

It's going to depend on a lot, including your torso length, seat choice, etc. I bought the windshield for my Electra Glide from Freedom Shields. I contacted them and gave them my dimensions and equipment choices and they gave me a great recommendation. Why limit yourself to 7" or 10" when maybe an 8" or 9" would be the best option? Contact them, and get one of their windshields, you won't be disappointed.

I'm 5' 9" and went with the 7" and like it a lot. I'd recommend it.

I had a 7" Klockwerks which looked pretty cool. Then I rode a friend SG with a 9" Freedom Shields. Snatched me up a 9" FS on Ebay and never looked back. Looking through the windshield instead of over it took a little getting used to, but less wind/noise and hearing music/news/ballgames more clearly trumps "looking cool".

I'm 6'2 and have the HD 7" wind splitter on mine and ride with a half helmet. No issues here. I think my local dealership will let you try them out also. Or at least they did a couple years ago when I picked mine up.

I am 5' 10" with a 30" inseam (you get the drift I've got a long.... torso). I have the 7" long ride shields ultra recurve (it is 1" higher than stock). It still gets wind in my forehead.
