Default OEM style grips that don't go smooth & glossy

When I first bought my bike I liked OEM grips. They had a good rubbery feel and was able to hold throttle well. Over time they got sleek, glossy and slippery. Since then I have changed to 2 different grips and not happy. Wish I could go back to OEM style grips but that don't become slippery over time. I don't want big, fatty or get-A-grip style grips. I have looked online but no luck yet. Any recommendations ?

Avon Custom Contour Anodized. Look great, and very grippy.

Thanks. Looking at it they have fly-by wire and G2 quick turn throttle. Anyone here have that g2 quick turn throttle and how do you like it. I called Avon and they said with this you don't have to turn throttle too much to accelerate . I'm assuming it is fly-by-wire.

if you really like the oem grips, get another set. it's got to take a while for them to get to that 'smooth and glossy' stage, and they are about as cheap as you're ever gonna get. then, just change them out for a new set. only takes a few minutes, depending on what bike you have.

I've found my leather grips to work the best for me of any. The grip is indeed, just right.

My factory grips got smooth, shiny, and sticky. Replaced them once with the identical Harley grip, same thing happened. Then went with the Harley Diamond Black STYLE grips. Mine certainly weren't $100 for the pair but they look the same. The "screen" texture provides a reasonable grip.

I second (or third) the Avon grips.... They feel great and seem to have a fairly long life. Plus they can be sent back and get new rubber grips installed....

Check with your local HD dealer, some of the techs most likely have some brand new take off stock grips that will eventually get trashed. Pick em up for a song or a cold beer!
