Ozarks and Lodging
#12
Planning a trip over the Ozarks in northern Arkansas, would like to ride the Jasper/Eureka Springs/Harrison area. So a couple questions for those that have been there:
1) Some good places to stay, looking for a small motel type place that is Bike friendly (would expect in that area most places would be), not really interested in a chain hotel. Something comfortable that we can park the bikes right outside the rooms.
2) There are a ton of rides listed on the Ozarkrides.com site, way too many for us to do in 4 days, so what are some of the "must" do rides.
Thanks

Jasper/Eureka area
Since I only live 45 minutes from downtown Jasper, a must in Jasper is the Ozark Cafe for lunch or breakfast. Not much in the way of motels however. not bad places just nothing much to choose from. Eureka Springs has all the choices in the world needed. Both are EXTREMELY bike friendly areas for sure. Lots and Lots of routes to choose from. Also head west to Ponca and go a bit south to Lost Valley Trailhead. If your into a mild hike which only takes a few hrs. both ways. Awesome views and waterfalls. If you lucky and time of day in the Ponca area is the hub of our growing Elk herd. Eureka Springs has anything from great food to just relaxing and checking out Downtown.

We stayed at the Hotel Seville in Harrison, it's a very cool historic hotel that caters to riders. They have a covered area for bikes with a bar and restaurant on site. It's old but preserved with a 2 story spanish style decor. I really liked it, rooms were nice but a little on the smaller side. due to the age and layout of the building. I'd go back there again for the charm and character.
