Default I laid down the bike this afternoon....

Well...I can officially say that wearing a helmet saved me a head injury today...it was a fairly low speed spill...I was being stupid and not paying attention to the gap in front of me and I locked up the tires in order to save kissing the *** end of a semi trailer...I dumped it on the left side...scraped up the crash bars a little and bent the crome around the left auxilliary headlight....

I had a headache from bouncing my head off of the pavement (while wearing my helmet thank GOD) scraped up my elbows a bit and put a big ol bruise on my left hip......and my pride.....

I guess I could blame it on the tranny noise...[sm=innoc.gif]...

Just am glad to be here...a little wiser.

Bruises and a little pride will heal. Glad you're OK!

Man, glad to hear you are OK. Seems like sometimes the pride is harder to heal than chrome and bones.

Glad you're okay. Things like this happen. Hopefully you will never do it again.

I was recently involved in a small "altercation" with a box that came out from under a truck that I was following. The truck ran over it and in a split second I was dodging cardboard and styrofoam while simultaneously trying to keep the bike upright because I instinctively stomped on the brakes and locked the rear tire.

I was fortunate to keep both wheels on the pavement. I now try and remember to give myself more room.

Glad to hearyour OK other than some bumps, bruises, a hard knock, and a lesson learned. I hate it when I wander while on the bike, gotta remember I'm not in a cage and it scares the He!! out me sometimes whenmy mindfinally wakes upjust rightbefore it's too late.
