Wow, I am truly sorry to hear about your friend and his family. Its got to be a hard thing to go through, mostly for his wife watching the whole thing happen. It donest matterwho was at fault at this time, the only thing is youve lost a friend, and his famly lost there dad and husband. I couldnt emagine what it would be like going through that. Weve all had close calls on our bikes, some more than others, and it does make you wander why weride. You just have to look out for the azz'zdriving to survive. my condolance's to all of you.

Hack,
I'm very sorry You have lost Your friend and those sweet children have lost their dad.I can't even begin to say how bad I feel for His Wife.I don't know for sure but I like to think He was probably happy at the time this happened.I hear stories about people going in their sleep or just sitting on the couch.as tragic as it is Your buddy died doing something that He loved doing.May God bless You and his family in this tough time. You will all be in My thoughts and prayers.
Take Care!
Craig

Sad news indeed, especially having the wife see it. Will it stop me riding--no. Are we nuts? No. Okay, well, maybe pushing the envelope a bit. Problem is, you can't control either the when or the how you die in most cases. Depending on your friend's situation, whoever took him out might have been delayed for 20 seconds more and then smashed into his wife killing her instead. Who knows?

sorry to hear about your friend. why do we ask "why do we take the risks everyday?" because we love it.
we wont let a stupid cager stop us from doing what we love. we do take a risk everytime we start up our bikes. i wish you the best in your grieving

My best friend was also killed a few yrs ago.Senior driver ran light at 60 mph-ish and took him out from bikes side.He was a very safe rider compared to others I ride w/including myself, yet he never had an idea it was coming.Closed casket!Couldnt tell what kind of bike it was.Something like this does make you think,it will change your riding style for awhile, maybe forever.Do what you want, what you love, life is too short.
