1) What's the problem with the radio?
2) What model years does it affect?
3) Where's this "download" you speak of?

I checked the hd site butcouldn't find any info on it to see if my bike needs it.

What speed of CDs are you using. CDs rated for 32x don't burn well at 4x or 8x. Set your burn speed to match what your CD is made for. I've always made mine at 32x because that's the CDs I have on hand. Never had a problem.

The website for the updates is http://www.harley-davidson.com/cp/moar/en/software.asp

I tried burning at a slow speed as suggested but it never worked until I did it at a faster speed. I think it was 32 but might have been 48.

Yeah you need to ignore that part of their instructions. If you use a CD with a certain write speed, you need to write it at that speed. They don't work well otherwise. The media is made to reform at a certain exposure level. If you go over or under that level, it's not so good.

Thanks for the link. I just sucessfully updated my radio from v8.10.0 to v8.19.0. It only powered down once, not twice as the instructions stated.

I have downloaded the update and put it in the radio.
It went from 7.8 on the TMS320 to 8.19
The ST10 remained at 7.8.
I have dowmloaded the CD twice and have tried to download it into the radio three times.
I am not too talented with the computer, but I tried.
Any suggestions?
